Goa trip is a lifetime achievement for the people from North, generally. And so it was for us too. We were super excited to feel the breeze of Goa, have coconut water in hand, get clicked at Goa beaches and churches. One thing about Goa, it surely energizes and arouses the youth in you. Another thing while you plan a trip to Goa, it is for the party poppers and for night owls. Telling you because, i being an early riser, couldn’t adjust myself. The time I understood, it was time to leave.
Thirdly, do carry good options for photography or videos, if you love doing so. I carried my DSLR Nikond3300, this tiny creature and my oppof9.
There is no better plan to unplan things for a superb trip. That’s what we did. Being our first visit to Goa, we had to just flirt around with the streets and find the hidden treasures maybe just like vasco de gama. Calangute is known as the queen of beaches.
First day, we went to Baga beach. We were welcomed by the heavy rain. Baga beach was my first interface with the Goa waters. While you reach there, you find the shopping hub aligned on the both sides of the road with all the handicraft and beach stuff. The beach visit is known as the ‘blue therapy’ and I realized it there. It is not just the water, it is the sound of waves too which helps relax your mind.
Anjuna beach was the next on our quick list. Anjuana beach is one of the most popular beaches between the Baga beach and Ozran beach. It was nice and pleasant to be there.
Being our first visit, we just wanted to cover as many beaches we could. But it is not a wise idea to do so. You learn, re learn and unlearn things in your life. Next on the list was Candolim Beach. It is located between the Baga-Calangute stretch. It is one of the most popular beaches in Goa, lined with sundecks and umbrellas.
Sinquerim beach is also one sure place to visit. One can have water sports paragliding, speedboat, sofa riding and even dolphin watching in the morning.
You can even visit Aguada fort which was built in 17th century by Purtgese. You can witness the panoramic and majestic view of the ocean from there. It is open for all weekdays 9:30 am to 6pm. Prefer to go in the evenings in summer.
It is said “you save best for the last”. That’s what our friend who was escorting us, did the same and he committed the sin. I am talking about curlies beach! It is a nice and pleasant to be here. There are shacks with rhythmic music on. You can rent water skis and windsurfers etc. without being a guest at the hotel. It is one place for people of different tastes – calm atmosphere, nirvaana seekers and party animals as well.
They say ‘what goes in Goa, stays in Goa’. But according to me, Goa stays in the heart even after you leave. The beach breeze, the sound of waves, the chirping of birds, the lavish dining restaurants, water sports and shacks; what else one can ask for in the best vacation time!
